Garden Salad

A poem for kids.

In Granny's garden,

In Granny's garden, I pluck a curly lettuce leaf,

In Granny's garden, I pluck a curly lettuce leaf and a shiny bell pepper,

In Granny's garden, I pluck a curly lettuce leaf, a shiny bell pepper, and a bumpy cucumber,

In Granny's garden, I pluck a curly lettuce leaf, a shiny bell pepper, a bumpy cucumber, and a juicy tomato,

In Granny's garden, I pluck a curly lettuce leaf, a shiny bell pepper, a bumpy cucumber, and a juicy tomato, but I leave the ladybug perched on the yellow squash.
